The bank, the exchange, the contract hall and the rest are buildings on the map. What each one is for, and which are not open yet.
The city is the menu. Every service in the world has a building standing somewhere in Downtown, and clicking it on the map opens its desk — there is no separate menu of features hiding behind a button.
- **Bank of WoA** — deposits and loans, between players.
- **WoA Exchange** — the market where goods are traded.
- **Hall of Contracts** — escrow-backed agreements to deliver goods.
- **Guardian Insurance** — cover for ventures you choose to take.
- **City Hall** — licences, without which some trades cannot be practised.
- **Employment Center** — the labour board: who is hiring, for how long, for how much.
- **WoA University** — research programmes and worker training.
- **Land Office** — land and the deeds that carry it.
- **Chamber of Registration** — companies and corporations on the public record.
- **The WoA Herald** — the world's newspaper, written from what actually happened.
- **The Inspectorate** and **The Prison** — enforcement, and where it ends up.
Why buildings and not a menu
A menu entry is a feature. A building is a place — it has an address, a district, neighbours, and it can be busy or quiet. Putting the services on the map is what makes the economy feel like somewhere rather than something.
